Un coin cosy pour se couper
Localisé dans le centre ville de Gand, non loin du château des comte de Flandre, Mémé Gusta s’impose dans un style rétro-vintage choisit avec beaucoup de goût qui donne le sentiment d’être un peu hors du temps. Une carte assez traditionnelle mais présentée de façon très atypique avec ses petites cartes de jeu: à boire, à manger, pour l’apéritif et pour les desserts. A noter: très bonne frites!
In the centre of Ghent, not far from the Castle of the Counts of Flanders, Mémé Gusta has a tasteful retro-vintage style that makes you feel a bit out of time. The menu is quite traditional but presented in a very atypical way with its little game cards: to drink, to eat, for the aperitif and for the desserts. To be noted: very good fries!
A gauche retrouvé le sublime tartare de bœuf décomposé: œuf cru, cornichon, chips de pomme de terre et deux sauces qui se marient à la perfection avec la viande et à droite le très connu bœuf à la sauce béarnaise avec ses frites belges. Le tout accompagné d’une bonne bière à la cerise (kriek) belge Lindemans, mais pas très typique du coin…
On the left is the sublime beef tartare with raw egg, pickle, crisps and two sauces that go perfectly with the meat, and on the right is the very famous beef in Bearnaise sauce with Belgian fries. All of this accompanied by a good Belgian Lindemans cherry beer (kriek), but not very typical of the area…
